O álbum que me traumatizou foi o Damnation dos Opeth. Tenho duas edições em CD e o LP, infelizmente este é um dos casos em que o CD supera em muito o LP - nem vou falar da forma como os senhores tocam esse álbum ao vivo, porque é um regalo!!!

Passada a dor da queda, vieram mais uns disquitos e o último a entrar foi o do Jaco Pastorius.
Neste caso, comparada a edição em CD e LP, tudo bem...

A MOV tem desde o bom, a passar pelo mais ou menos normal até ao menos convincente, sem nunca ir ao muito mau. Em média são porreiros.

A MOV tem desde o bom, a passar pelo mais ou menos normal até ao menos convincente, sem nunca ir ao muito mau. Em média são porreiros.

Como disse, hoje olho melhor para a editora, mas quando se quer muito uma coisa e se apanha com o que apanhei...
Infelizmente não sou de reclamar muito, quero o disco comigo porque ele é muito importante, mas nem com a capa tive sorte  
Custava muito ir buscar uma imagem de grande formato à internet???


Mas lá está, estamos em tempo de poupança...

Editoras q editam vinil utilizando masters a partir do CD

Eu não tenho experiência que chegue para generalizar, mas é verdade que as edições da DOX, DOLL, etc. caíram na desgraça.

Com o álbum que referi da Musica on Vinyl fiquei com a sensação que tinha sido feito essa traquitana que é usar o cd... uma das canções termina de uma forma abrupta e não devia acontecer - é mesmo do vinil e de todos os que ouvi!

Há ainda as adições da Blue Note, as do 75º Aniversário. Falam muito delas e falam mal, já compramos alguns e não tenho queixas.
Eu já tinha visto a entrevista feita pela Analog Planet sobre estas edições https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKeKOCk0quA e acredito que a diferença exista e seja notória, mas a verdade é que os discos tocam bem e lá para o final o senhor Michael Fremer lá diz: "The Blue Note 75th anniversary 100 LP vinyl reissue series definitely honors the legacy."

Pelo preço não estará bem? As outras custam três vezes mais, o UNITY toca bem e custou 15 euros, se um dia conseguir pagar 50 pela edição da Music Matters...

Com a Music on Vinyl eu penso o mesmo, no geral está tudo bem e o valor a pagar parece-me justo.

Quando apareceram as primeiras gravações digitais em vinil (meados dos anos 80) as editoras passaram a ostentar orgulhosamente nas capas (em letras bem visíveis) a informação "Digital Recording", "Digitally Remastered", etc. Hoje em dia, o "estigma" é tão grande que as editoras já nem fazem qualquer menção ao facto... (chegando parecer tratar-se de uma doença contagiosa...). Enfim, mudam-se os tempos...

Para além da limitação do catálogo, um SACD custa 2 ou 3 vezes mais (já para não falar do preço de um leitor competente).

Yo-Yo Ma Plays Ennio Morricone is a 2004 album of recordings from Morricone's various film scores by brilliant cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Ennio Morricone.
The album was recorded with the Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra and Gilda Buttà on piano. Morricone functioned as orchestrator, conductor and producer. The album stayed 105 weeks on the Billboard Top Classical Albums.
